Brandon Foushee - Scholars - The Gordon Parks Foundation

Brandon Foushee is a third year Pratt Institute undergraduate photography student. Originally from New Jersey, he currently lives in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Foushee’s work aims at changing perceptions of blackness and male identity by collaging and superimposing domestic imagery with the body and landscape. Themes in his work explore and experiment within the medium, and provide a deeper more nuanced context to complexities of the contemporary black experience. This past fall, Foushee curated his first group exhibition titled Paradox, which consisted of  work from his peers and his own large-scale 35mm prints and silver gelatin prints mounted on wood-panel.
