Unique Acevedo is an American born Latina photographer studying at SUNY Purchase College. Traveling to many different cities and states as a young child, Unique developed a natural curiosity for human interaction and behavior, causing her automatic connection with portrait photography. Throughout her childhood, Unique was always fascinated with baby books and family photo albums. She admired how the world changed when represented through the eyes of others. Being introduced to memoir and biography late last year, Unique began combining text and image in her own personal projects. She works with the idea of giving photographs a voice and a story specific to her life yet simultaneously relatable to others.
